Morgan Howell creates extra-large, hand painted 3D reproductions of classic paper sleeve ’45s for his Super Sized Art.
Each record has been painted on canvas by Morgan and then constructed to resemble giant versions of the real thing. They are close copies of the original and the viewer can see all the brush strokes and pencil marks.
In 2005 he was made a Fellow of the Royal Society of Art and in 2010 he was shortlisted and received display notices at The Royal Academy.
Morgan’s work hangs at BBC Radio 2 and at BBC Radio 6Music.
