The Kiss: Hope, Resilience, and Compassion
Monday 12th February – Monday 4th March Online Exclusive on Artsy This year's edition of our annual exhibition celebrating Valentine's Day and the month of love brings together 27 artists, from painters to sculptors and everything in-between, with a theme reflecting on the many struggles currently faced by people globally. We have become accustomed to the doom and gloom of media reports – undoubtedly justified by world events – but somehow lacking in optimism and positivity. We hope that our theme this year will embody the challenging times in which we live but with a change of tone. The Kiss: Hope, Resilience, and Compassion
A more in-depth look at the individual artists and artworks is available in our Viewing Rooms running throughout February and the beginning of March. |

Equilibrio is a collective of eight aspiring young artists from Halcyon London International School.
The exhibition showcases students' individual bodies of work, drawing on a dynamic range of contemporary and traditional media. Students responded to different forms, from textiles and fashion, to fine art and photography, as well as animation and virtual reality. Themes of ‘home’ and ‘tradition’ emanated from the work, while others played with broader ideas of ‘perception’ and ‘socio-political commentary’; as well as touching on the ephemeral feelings of love and passion.
Each carefully curated section of Equilibrio will be formally assessed as part of the IB Visual Arts Diploma Course. It provides a bridge for this talented group of young international artists, who will then endeavour to pursue careers in fashion, film, product design, psychology, politics and interior design.
Equilibrio features the work of Basia Chwastowska, Angeline Djankoff, Sophie Huesgen Silvia Herranz Aller, Ela Karagül, Camilla Sanchetti Eli Weinman Matilde Zamuner, all of Halcyon London International School. |
